These terms govern your use of Qiatan Island at qiatan.fyi, operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing a game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Give accurate information when you register, and keep your email address up to date so we can reach you about your account.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

Acceptable use

Qiatan is a game meant to be enjoyable for everyone playing it. You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots, scripts, or automation to gain an advantage.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, including through usernames or custom map content.
• Deliberately disrupt games, for example by stalling turns or repeatedly abandoning matches.
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate the leaderboard or evade a suspension.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its infrastructure, or other players' accounts.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or sexually explicit content through any part of the service.
• Scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

Custom maps and player content

You keep ownership of the custom maps you create. By publishing a map publicly, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it within the service so other players can find and play it, and to feature it in material promoting Qiatan.

You are responsible for the content you publish and confirm you have the right to publish it. We may remove any published map, or unpublish it, if we believe it breaches these terms or the rights of others.

The service itself

The core game is free to play. We may add optional paid items in future; if we do, any content that was free at the time you gained access to it will remain free to you.

Qiatan Island is an independent, original work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any board game publisher. The name Qiatan Island / 洽谈岛, its artwork, maps, and software are ours.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including individual game modes, maps, or features. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

Availability and liability

Qiatan is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that game results, statistics, or unlocked items will never be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the game. Continuing to use Qiatan after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact
